Also He said to them, “Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?”

Spread the good news beyond your four walls

By all means, let it be the lampstand! The good news of Christ’s birth, ministry, death, resurrection, ascension, and most especially His return, must by command of the Lord shine forth from all Believers. By God’s express will in 1 Timothy 2:4, we know that there is, in fact, no one who can be exempt from hearing this message!

With God’s desire as the standard for all Believers, you can deliver neighbors, shoppers, workers, teachers, doctors, elected officials, entertainers … literally everyone you meet. Consider your Word “shelf life.” If you are a reader, you “bear fruit.” A hearer, you bear “more fruit.” Press in and strive to close the gap to doer and bear “much fruit” by becoming a proclaimer. You may be surprised to find out who’s listening and being inspired and built up by simply hearing you speak the Word as your chosen form of conversation.
