Yet I am among you as the One who serves.

Be a leader with the mind of Christ

With this insightful declaration, Jesus makes known the Kingdom’s career ladder: humble service. It’s the understanding that “to whom much is given;” and to Him all power was given, “much is required.” Christ does not condemn the desire for greatness, rather, He points us toward the God-approved way to achieve it.

He said: “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” The heart for Kingdom service is born in humility and made mature in the knowledge of Christ. When an opportunity to serve comes to you, see it as an invitation to be in God’s presence to minister to Him as He clearly instructs us in Matthew 25. In this way, you will walk in the spirit and be delighted to serve God through His creation. And make no distinction in your service. Whether the Shepherds in whom God has instilled the vision for the church, the visitor, or the new or seasoned member–all are worthy.
